Job Description
We are working with a main contractor undertaking a large project near Gloucester. We are looking to recruit an established Freelance Quantity Surveyor to look after the commercial function of a project.
Your Day-To-Day Duties:
- Managing allocated subcontract packages from procurement through to final account
- Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor valuations and applications for payment
- Pricing and managing variations, changes and additional works
- Preparing cost-to-complete forecasts and accurate monthly accruals
- Undertaking cost analysis and comparisons for subcontract packages
- Monitoring package performance, costs and expected profitability
- Managing subcontractor relationships and commercial issues
- Reporting commercial progress and key issues to the Commercial Manager
The Requirements
- Relevant degree qualification in Quantity Surveying
- Self-motivated and an ability to work alone
- Ability to take initiative in resolving problems.
- Previous surveying responsibilities
- Ability to us MS Excel
Salary & Package
The rate on offer is negotiable, dependent on an individuals experience. The rate will be paid Limited Company.
