Are you an experienced Structural Engineer looking for your next career move? An established engineering consultancy based in Banbury is looking to recruit a talented Structural Engineer with at least four years' experience to join its growing team and work on a varied portfolio of building structures projects.

The Role

As a Structural Engineer, you will work within an experienced design team on a range of building projects, taking responsibility for structural design tasks and supporting the successful delivery of schemes across various sectors.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking structural design and calculations for a variety of building structures.
• Working with materials including steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber.
• Preparing detailed structural designs, calculations, reports and technical documentation.
• Producing and reviewing structural drawings using relevant design software.
• Coordinating with architects, contractors, clients and other design professionals.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant building regulations, design codes and industry standards.
• Managing your own design workload and contributing to project delivery within agreed deadlines.
• Supporting junior engineers and graduates where appropriate.

Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally have:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• At least four years' relevant experience within a structural engineering consultancy.
• Strong technical knowledge of building structures and structural design principles.
• Experience undertaking structural calculations and producing detailed designs.
• Familiarity with relevant structural design software and industry standards.
• Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider design team.

Experience working on a range of building structures projects and coordinating designs with other disciplines would be particularly beneficial. Progress towards Chartered Engineer status, or a desire to achieve chartership, would also be advantageous.
