Position: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol, Somerset
Salary: 55,000- 60,000 (dependent on experience) plus car allowance
Bennett & Game are representing a leading specialist drylining contractor who are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team.
The company delivers commercial drylining, plastering, suspended ceilings and associated interior systems across a range of construction projects. With an established presence in the sector and a strong pipeline of work across the South Coast, South West and South Wales, the business offers a varied project portfolio and long-term opportunities.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong commercial drylining background to take ownership of project costs, manage commercial performance and work closely with operational teams. The role will be based from the Bristol office, with site visits required as necessary.

- Salary of 55,000- 60,000, depending on experience.

Quantity Surveyor Position Overview
- Manage the commercial aspects of drylining contracts from procurement through to final account.
Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow and overall profitability.
Prepare and manage valuations, applications for payment and variations.
Negotiate and agree subcontractor and supplier costs.
Identify commercial risks and opportunities, implementing effective cost control measures.
Work closely with Site Managers, Contracts Managers and the wider commercial team to ensure projects remain financially on track.
Maintain accurate commercial records and provide regular cost and financial reports.
Attend site visits as required to review progress, assess variations and resolve commercial issues.
Quantity Surveyor Position Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Quantity Surveyor within commercial drylining.
Strong commercial management and cost control skills.
Proven experience managing subcontractor accounts, valuations, variations and final accounts.
Good understanding of construction contracts, procurement and commercial risk management.
Ability to monitor budgets, forecast costs and protect project profitability.
Strong negotiation, communication and organisational skills.
Confident working with operational teams, clients, subcontractors and suppliers.
Full UK driving licence and flexibility to undertake site visits as required.
