Intermediate Quantity Surveyor

Overview

Clearfield Recruitment is currently seeking an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor for an exciting opportunity on an 8 million construction project involving the conversion of existing office space into residential accommodation in the Bracknell / Reading area.

This is a site-based position on a two-year project, offering an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor looking for long-term stability and the chance to contribute to a substantial residential conversion scheme.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the commercial management of the project.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, payments and valuations.
• Monitor project costs, variations and contractual changes.
• Support cost reporting, forecasting and budget control.
• Work closely with the site and commercial teams to ensure the project is delivered within budget.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation.

Skills

• Experience working as an Intermediate Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost management skills.
• Experience with subcontractor packages, valuations and variations.
• Good communication, organisation and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a site-based project team.
