A fast growing Cost Consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to support a major data centre client, working across a global portfolio of complex, high-value projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a Consultancy / PQS background to join an established team, delivering client facing cost management and technical commercial advice on major data centre developments across the UK and internationally.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the client and wider project teams, providing strategic commercial input throughout the project lifecycle. Previous data centre experience is not essential; the consultancy is keen to speak with technically strong Quantity Surveyors with solid consultancy experience and the confidence to operate in an advisory capacity.

The Role - Senior Quantity Surveyor
Working within an established Cost Management team, you will provide quantity surveying and commercial advisory services to a key data centre client, supporting projects across its international portfolio.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Delivering pre and post-contract quantity surveying and cost management services.
• Providing technical commercial advice directly to the client and wider project stakeholders.
• Preparing and reviewing cost plans, budgets, forecasts and financial reports.
• Advising on procurement strategies, tender processes and contract administration.
• Managing variations, change control and commercial risk.
• Working collaboratively with project managers, design teams and external consultants to support successful project delivery.
• Providing clear, evidence based commercial recommendations to inform client decision making.
• Supporting the delivery of major data centre projects across the UK and internationally.

About You

• Proven experience working within a Consultancy / PQS environment is essential.
• A degree in Quantity Surveying.
• Strong technical knowledge of cost management.
• Excellent commercial awareness, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience operating in a client facing environment.
• The ability to provide sound commercial advice and build effective relationships with clients and project teams.
• A proactive, collaborative approach and the confidence to work independently.

MRICS status is preferred but not essential. Previous data centre experience is not required; the priority is a well rounded Quantity Surveyor with strong consultancy experience, technical capability and a commercially focused approach.
