Are you an experienced Building Surveyor looking for your next interim assignment?

We are seeking a skilled Interim Building Surveyor to support the delivery of a diverse portfolio of capital, refurbishment and property improvement projects. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a range of construction and asset management schemes, providing professional surveying expertise from project inception through to completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver building surveying services across refurbishment, alteration and construction projects.
• Manage and oversee property and construction-related projects.
• Prepare and review designs, specifications and technical documentation.
• Administer construction contracts and monitor contractor performance.
• Provide professional advice on building construction, maintenance and property matters.
• Support procurement and tendering activities.
• Monitor project costs, programmes and associated risks.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and health & safety requirements.
• Undertake Principal Designer duties where qualified and appointed.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants and key stakeholders throughout project delivery.

Requirements

Essential

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related construction discipline.
• Experience working as a Building Surveyor within construction, property or asset management environments.
• Strong contract administration experience.
• Proven experience managing refurbishment, alteration and improvement projects.
• Sound knowledge of construction methods, building design and technical standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Desirable

• MRICS qualified or working towards chartered status.
• Membership of RICS or another relevant professional body.
• Local authority or wider public sector experience.
• Experience undertaking Principal Designer duties under CDM Regulations.
