Managing Quantity Surveyor Tier 1 Main Contractor Hertfordshire

I'm currently working with a leading Tier 1 main contractor with an outstanding reputation for delivering complex projects across the public and private sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint a Managing Quantity Surveyor to take a leading commercial role across a portfolio of projects throughout Hertfordshire.
With multiple live schemes already on site, including several 30m+ Department for Education projects, this is an opportunity to join a business that has long-term frameworks, repeat clients, and a substantial forward order book.
The Role
This position offers far more than project-level surveying.
You'll be responsible for leading commercial teams, supporting the development of junior surveyors, managing client relationships, driving commercial strategy, and ensuring successful project outcomes from procurement through to final account.
Projects currently include:
- 30m+ Department for Education schemes
- Healthcare developments
- Education projects
- Retail developments
- Public sector and framework projects
- New build and refurbishment schemes
Who They're Looking For
- Experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor, Senior Quantity Surveyor, or Commercial Lead
- Strong main contractor background
- Proven experience delivering projects from pre-construction through to final account
- Comfortable managing commercial teams and mentoring junior staff
- Excellent client-facing and leadership skills
- Experience across education, healthcare, commercial, retail, or public sector projects would be advantageous
