Contract: 6-Month Contract
Rate: £55-£65
Hours: Part-Time (2-3 days)
A new opportunity has arisen for a Class 2 Registered Building Inspector (ideally 2D but will consider experienced 2A’s) to join a well-organised Building Control team in the Northwest on a 6-month rolling contract basis.
The is a small but great team lead by a manager we know well and can speak very highly of. They are a well-run LABC team, with this opportunity being created purely to help the existing team manage the workflow, so you won’t be walking into a messy environment. The team are successful and therefore have no issues with budget, so this contract will likely be long-term.
This role offers a flexible part-time arrangement and would suit an experienced RBI looking for a contract with an excellent work-life balance. The client is ideally seeking a Class 2D Registered Building Inspector, although they are open to considering candidates from Class 2A (they will even consider Class 1’s under supervision if you are particularly experienced).
The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of Building Control duties, ensuring compliance with Building Regulations while delivering a high-quality service to customers and stakeholders.
Typical duties will include:
- General site inspections
- Plan checking
- Investigation of unauthorised works
- Responding to dangerous structure callouts
Key Details
- Rate: £55-£65/hr
- 6-month rolling contract (likely to be long-term)
- Part-time position (2 days, potentially 3)

- Will consider anyone from Class 2A Registered Building Inspector
