Registered Building Inspector (General) - Class 2A-F

Salary up to £52,191 – includes market supplement (*national pay award pending)

We’re looking for an experienced and motivated Registered Building Inspector (Class 2A–F) to help deliver safe, compliant and high‑quality building control services across our partner authorities. You will play a key role in ensuring the safety, quality and integrity of a wide range of domestic and commercial construction projects.

In this role, you will independently manage a varied caseload of Class 2A–F applications, carrying out plan assessments, conducting site inspections and delivering proportionate enforcement action where required. You will provide clear, practical and professional regulatory advice to clients, contractors, colleagues and partner organisations, ensuring projects meet all relevant legislation and standards.

We are seeking an experienced Registered Building Inspector (Domestic) – Class 2A to support the delivery of safe, compliant and high-quality building control services across our partner authorities.

In this role you will independently manage a portfolio of domestic projects, conduct plan checks, site inspections and enforcement actions whilst providing clear and practical regulatory guidance to clients, contractors and colleagues. You will also play an important part in responding to dangerous structures, maintaining professional standards and contributing to ongoing service improvement.
